Cozy bedroom
I am comfortable with change. Actually, I crave it! I can't stop trying something new, moving in different directions and re-purposing things in new and strange ways... it is seemingly a part of my daily life.
Living in a part of the USA that has 4 defined seasons; winter, spring, summer and fall, change in the weather is always imminent and with that I am blissfully satisfied.
In our home, and with a very modest budget to live by, I find it therapeutic and satisfactory to constantly be shuffling around nick knacks, small pieces of furniture and pictures from room to room as needed. I may purchase a new mirror and re-arrange an entire room with treasures from around the house to compliment it! I'm not overly picky and I make use of what I have. I love to arrange, design, organize and hardly ever complete a project without a good ol' can of spray paint.
This particular room is difficult to arrange astetically and practically as it is small (12x13), has two doors and two windows to work around and only 2 outlets; one of the lovelies of owning a cir. 1938 home.
For this little re-arrangement, I bought the lamp shades, basket for the side table and a small turquoise vase new. I also refinished the side table in distressed white and the snowflakes are courtesy of my 9 year old daughter.
I am always inspired by shows like FreeStyle on HGTV! Using what you have and love to make a comfortable space.
This room feels like home to us and I had so much fun throughout the entire process! (:
Happy decorating, keep it simple and don't compare! We all have our own unique style, keep it YOU.

A meager entryway. Face lifted with things found lying about the house, found at auction or gifted. I find exhilaration in being frugal, nifty and thrifty. The pieces may not be the perfect size, color or height but they work together to form a classic country rustic look, that is pleasing to my eye as well as functional. Simplicity and cohesiveness... nothing is more comfortable.
